Who we are

I didn’t grow up seeing myself as strong or athletic. For most of my life, fitness felt like something distant—something meant for other people. Before FireForm Fitness ever existed, I had never picked up a weight or pushed my body beyond its limits. That all changed during a quiet road trip through the wilderness of Eastern Oregon, where an unexpected injury challenged me in ways I never imagined.

Midway through the journey, I suffered a serious spine injury. Alone in the forest with only my dog by my side, I had no choice but to act. Through pain and uncertainty, I packed up camp, drove hours across state lines to make sure my dog was safe with a family friend, and then got myself to the hospital. It wasn’t heroic—it was survival. But it marked the beginning of something new.

Recovery was slow and painful. Physical therapy tested my patience and resolve. But somewhere in that process, I realized I didn’t want to just heal—I wanted to rebuild. During the COVID lockdowns, I discovered lifting. It started small: a spare bedroom turned into a makeshift gym, a basic phone app, and a quiet commitment to show up for myself every day.

Over the next six years, that commitment grew. I went from cautious beginner to advanced lifter—not through shortcuts or perfect circumstances, but through consistency, humility, and a deep desire to feel strong again. My home gym became a reflection of that journey: a space built piece by piece, just like my confidence.

Today, I am an ISSA Personal Trainer Certified candidate, specializing in bodybuilding and nutrition. FireForm Fitness was born from my story—not to showcase perfection, but to support others who are ready to start their own transformation. I don’t claim to have all the answers, but I share what I’ve learned with honesty and heart. Because sometimes, the most powerful fire comes from the quiet decision to begin again.
