Who we are

Kevin didn’t grow up seeing himself as strong or athletic. In fact, for most of his life, fitness felt like something distant—something meant for other people. Before FireForm Fitness ever existed, Kevin had never picked up a weight or pushed his body beyond its limits. That all changed during a quiet road trip through the wilderness of Eastern Oregon, where an unexpected injury would challenge him in ways he never imagined.

Midway through the journey, Kevin suffered a serious spine injury. Alone in the forest with only his dog by his side, he had no choice but to act. Through pain and uncertainty, he packed up camp, drove hours to Seattle to make sure his dog was safe with a family friend, and then got himself to the hospital. It wasn’t heroic—it was survival. But it marked the beginning of something new.

Recovery was slow and painful. Physical therapy tested his patience and resolve. But somewhere in that process, Kevin realized he didn’t want to just heal—he wanted to rebuild. During the COVID lockdowns, he discovered weightlifting. It started small: a spare bedroom turned into a makeshift gym, a basic phone app, and a quiet commitment to show up for himself every day.

Over the next six years, that commitment grew. Kevin went from cautious beginner to advanced lifter—not through shortcuts or perfect circumstances, but through consistency, humility, and a deep desire to feel strong again. His home gym became a reflection of that journey: a space built piece by piece, just like his confidence.

Today, Kevin is an ISSA Personal Trainer Certified candidate, specializing in bodybuilding and nutrition. FireForm Fitness was born from his story—not to showcase perfection, but to support others who are ready to start their own transformation. He doesn’t claim to have all the answers, but he shares what he’s learned with honesty and heart. Because sometimes, the most powerful fire comes from the quiet decision to begin again.
